Notices

Refunds, cancellation, and work already begun

This notice applies to the engagements we actually offer: metric benchmark comparison studies, chart and table commissions, seasonal re-comparisons, and findings briefings. It does not describe goods posted by courier, software seats, or courses, because we do not sell those.

Requests go to info@metricvectorbase.digital or to Level 8, 27 Aghmashenebeli Street, Kutaisi 4600, telephone +995 431 555 214.

Before the reference set is agreed

You may withdraw an enquiry or a quote without a charge. If you have paid nothing, nothing is refunded because nothing is held.

Studies

Once you have accepted a reference set in writing, the first third of the quoted fee is a deposit. It covers letters to possible neighbours and the holding of desk time. That third is not refunded if you cancel, because the letters have gone. If we have not yet agreed the set, any sum taken in error is returned in full.

If we cannot find a fair neighbour and we refuse the work after intake, we refund any sum already paid.

If we miss the agreed delivery week by more than ten working days for reasons inside this office (illness on the eighth floor, a lost proof, a drawing error we must redo), you may take a full refund of the remaining two thirds, or wait. The deposit stays, because neighbour letters are already spent, unless the delay made the study useless for a board date we had accepted in the intake letter — in that case the whole fee is returned.

If the bound note contains a drawing error or a wrong source line, we correct it without charge. If you reject the correction, we refund the fee for that study and you return both paper copies.

Chart plates

Paid on proof. If you cancel before the pencil layout, any sum is returned. After the pencil layout, half the plate fee is kept. After you approve a proof, the plate is not refundable, except where our proof does not match the series you sent.

A change of neighbour after the first proof is a new commission, not a refund.

Seasonal re-comparisons

If you cancel before we have opened the new figures, the fee is returned. After we have drawn the addendum, it is not, except for a drawing error we refuse to mend.

Briefings

A sitting cancelled more than five working days ahead is refunded in full. Inside five days, the sitting fee is kept unless we fill the hour with other desk work, in which case we return half. If we cancel, you receive a full refund of the sitting fee or a new date, as you choose. Travel booked at cost is refunded only to the extent the carrier refunds us.

No-shows

If you do not come to a briefing and do not write, the sitting fee is kept. The study itself is unaffected.

Work already started, materials, deposits

Neighbour letters, yearbook copies bought for your set, and printer’s proofs are not returned as cash. They are the reason deposits exist. We do not buy decorative materials on your behalf.

How a refund is made

By bank transfer to the account that paid us, within fifteen working days after we agree the refund in writing. We do not return cash at the door. We do not refund to a third account without a letter from the original payer.

Exceptions

If Georgian law requires a wider right — for example a cooling-off right that actually applies to the way you commissioned the work — that law prevails over this notice. Distance contracts with consumers, where they apply, are honoured. Most of our work is commissioned by organisations after intake; those engagements follow the stages above.
