Fees

How a fee is quoted

Nothing here is a menu you can tick without showing the figures. The numbers below are starting points so a board can see the scale before writing.

Pencil, rubber, and working papers on a desk

Fees are quoted in Georgian lari after we have seen the series. A comparison that needs a scarce neighbour costs more than one that sits next to a published Imereti table. Page count is a poor guide; the labour is in the reference set.

Starting points

EngagementWhat moves the quoteStarting point
Metric benchmark comparison studyNumber of metrics, years, scarcity of neighboursFrom 2,400 GEL
Chart and table commissionPage size, number of series, source tableFrom 380 GEL per plate
Seasonal re-comparisonWhether the neighbour set still standsFrom 900 GEL per season
Findings briefingHalf-day at our room, or travel in Imereti220 GEL at the desk; travel at cost

These are not packages. A study with one metric and a published neighbour sits near the floor. A study with four metrics, a broken series, and neighbours that must be requested from several cooperatives sits well above it.

What we look at before quoting

  • Whether the series is complete enough to compare at all
  • Whether a neighbour exists in print or must be gathered by letter
  • How many years must be drawn, and whether a base year is already agreed
  • Whether a lender or a ministry will see the pages (tone, not flattery, but extra checking)
  • Whether a briefing is wanted in the same week as delivery

If we cannot draw a fair comparison, we say so and charge nothing beyond the time already spent reading the intake, which we waive when the refusal is ours.

How payment is staged

For a study, one third is due when the reference set is agreed in writing. The rest is due when the bound note is ready for collection or post. Chart plates are paid on proof. Re-comparisons are paid when the addendum is dated. Briefings are paid on the sitting.

We take bank transfer. We do not take cards at the door, and we do not offer a monthly seat.

Deposits, delay, and work already begun

The first third is a deposit against the gathering of neighbours. If you cancel after the reference set is agreed, that third is not returned, because letters have already gone out. If we have not yet agreed the set, you may withdraw without a fee. The rest of the rules sit on the refund notice.

Ask for a quote

Write with the series, the years, and the question. We answer with a figure or with a refusal, usually within five working days.
